Blood Testing

There are a number of blood tests that we can order to get to the bottom of your conditions:

  • Quest and LabCorp blood tests are very commonly performed; however, what we typically do is put together a comprehensive lab requisition form for the patient to share with their in-network providers, as many are often very open to ordering additional laboratory testing. When a patient’s in-network provider is the ordering provider on their blood work, then their insurance will cover the cost of the tests.

There are also some specialty labs that are performed via blood testing, but are not as commonly used as Quest and LabCorp:

  • These include labs such as Spectra Cell, Boston Heart, ZRT Laboratory, and many others, which are considered “specialty labs” that many in-network providers do not frequently order. Therefore, for these types of labs, most patients opt to pay the lab directly for the cost to run their samples, and then they later submit their claim to their insurance provider for reimbursement for the cost of the lab.

Stool Testing

These include laboratories such as Doctor’s Data, Genova Diagnostics, GI Map, and others, which are also considered “specialty labs,” and can be paid for upfront, and then processed through insurance for reimbursement in a similar fashion to the specialty blood tests above.

Urine Testing

These include laboratories such as Great Plains Laboratory, ZRT Laboratory, Quicksilver Scientific, and others, which are also considered “specialty labs,” and can be paid for upfront, and then processed through insurance for reimbursement in a similar fashion to the specialty blood and stool tests above.

Salivary Testing

These include laboratories such as ZRT Laboratory, Analytical Services Inc, and others, which are also considered “specialty labs,” and can be paid for upfront, and then processed through insurance for reimbursement in a similar fashion to the specialty blood, stool, and urinary tests above.
